Met owner Des Sharkey last night says Harchi will probably start in Morgiana, 50/50 whether he goes to dundalk on Friday for warm up. Unfortunately he says Nicanor still not back in training - sounds finished to me.

Said his son has a nice bumper horse with Noel Meade running on Thursday at Thurles - REALT DUBH - twice second in muck it did not like - seemed certain it would do the business on thursday
.

WHAT ABOUT the latest news on Noble Prince ?????????????????? On the truck or not ?

Got a phone call at lunchtime from someone with close links to stable. He had just backed it saying the horse was confirmed to travel. I've backed him myself too.

Good to hear. It would make sense to run him here and will make for a cracking race. I can't see the logic in taking on Big Zeb on Sunday. I am on @ 12's so am talking through the old wallet a little I have to admit but from a racing perspective it would be fantastic news as well.

Then why did they leave him in the other race?

Yep, still in the Fortria on Sunday. Still a 12/1 chance with Boylesport. Surely if he was defintiely running, he would be disputing second favourtism with Wishfull Thinking?

Great situation to be getting weight from the Hobbs horse and I'd love to see Nolan have a big winner in England, not sure what I'm doing yet, but he is near the top of the list.

Is it just me or is there something ironic that a poster called 'New Approach' should give us all misleading information about the plans for Noble PrinceConfused

Paul Nolan is considering the plan of attack with Noble Prince following another excellent effort in defeat at Leopardstown last week.

The eight-year-old landed the inaugural Jewson Novices' Chase at last season's Cheltenham Festival and a return to Prestbury Park for the Ryanair Chase is very much on his agenda.
He has been running with credit over shorter distances so far this season, winning at Naas and chasing home Big Zeb twice, most recently in Leopardstown's Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase.

"He's finished second again but we were delighted with the run and obviously he is going to benefit from a step up in trip again," said Nolan.
"Having said that, Tony (McCoy) got off him the other day and said it would also have suited him better if they'd gone a faster pace.

"In the two-mile conditions races in Ireland they don't seem to go as fast as they do in England, and that doesn't really help him.

"The Ryanair Chase will be his target - that will be his only entry at Cheltenham.

"I'll have a chat with the owner in the next couple of days and decide whether he's going to run again before Cheltenham and if he is, where that will be.
"There are options for him over all sorts of different trips, so I'll have a chat with the owner and see which way we're going to go."

The CLIPPER

Apparently, Realt Dubh, who has been out of action since finishing second to Captain Chris in the Grade 1 Ryanair Chase at Punchestown in May, may make his return next month.
