Is it really value though over a week to go at 1.36-1.38? Not for me, i've been laying happily all week, yes was me to push it out to 1.5 last night, silly, possibly, a little stupid, well only the horse can answer that one in it! Still think he needs to be at least 1.45 - 1.5 at this stage in the market though!!

Frankel 1.47
imm 9.8
exc 12
32 bar for me i thinks is about right.

I haven't priced it up myself yet, though will do so from my ratings in a few mins

But at a glance 1.35 seems generous, vs horses he is miles ahead of, and what do you think is likely to go wrong in 10 days or so Confused

Just taking an opinion mate, hard few races against horses that have been around the globe next saturday plus the ground could well turn up to be on the heavy side if the rain comes which i can see happening after the weather we have had. I could be wrong, it could sluice up but he is just flesh and blood at the end of the day and was tying up in the closing stages last time it ran at ascot. Plus he could easily (god forbid) stand on a stone between now and then on the gallops. Plus some other people saw fit to lay him out to 1.51 last night, i didnt do it on my own, it looked to me like one of them mad drifts that sometimes happens on these sorts of events and so i laid too but my book is coming along and so hopefully i wont be too big a red come the close of the antepost market. Also we dont even no the entries yet, them that are listed are just guess work by betfair taken from reports from trainers and owners.

Yes he has had some hard races, and when these wonder horses do finally get beat, it is usually just one race too far and they run too bad to be true, Shergar,Dancing Brave and Nashwan all eventually lost to horses they were far superior to.

With Frankel though, he has not has the sort of season they had up to now, they never got a 15 week break . So you'd expect him to be very fresh .Certainly if he just rans badly the decision to rest him when he looked at his absolute peak late July will seem as silly as a lot of people thought at the time.

QEII Rating Price
Frankel 137 1.38
Excelebration 124.5 22
Immortal Verse 124 24
Dick Turpin  124 24
Cityscape 122.5 30
Await The Dawn 121.5 36
Rio De La Plata 121 40
Zoffany 121 45 ]
Dubawi Gold 118 68 ]
Side Glance 114.5 135 ]
Poet's Voice 114.5 135 ]
Tin Horse 113.5 180 ]
Bullet Train 85 5700 ]

I have him rated in a different league to those. Those prices i just did on the rating not considering how likely they would be to run , so it would have to be adjusted for how likely they are in Ante Post terms , and i expect Frankel a lot more certain to be there than most of those.

I could also be wrong , indeed lately i usually am [;)]
