Other companies that do this charge a fortune and its usually half the price (sometimes more) to organise it yourself; will you be the same?

Sort out your market
If it's stag / hen parties you're probably asking the wrong focus group here amd FWIW if it is this demographic you're after, keep it cheap as possible, focus on the beer and the Smirnoff Ices and try to keep them away from me at the races! Actually, the racing element is a side issue to the getting leathered angle so just prop them up in a bar, well away from the action, but with a TV screen and a tote outlet and they'll be okay. If the former, then you're looking at the other end of the scale, proabably at people looking for a good quality experience, who are prepared to pay a bit more if there is a seamless transition from the racecourse (Club / Mmebers possibly)to the (decent class) Hotel. |

I myself have always looked to enjoy the experience of a days racing, hence why I tend to go to the better class meetings and try to avoid the drinking culture.
The market I would most want to work with is those with a similar out look to myself, not aiming at cheap and cheerful (cabbage patch and a hostel), but also not aiming at 5* luxury, limos etc, although should this be the clients desite then obviously I'd try to accomodate. When I go racing its normally with my old man who has difficulty walking to far, hence we tend to go into members/club and if were away, look for a nice, comfortable hotel with good food not too far away. I have found that Premier Inn's can offer a good nights sleep and are normally attached to a pub that does reasonable food, this is kind of the angle I will be looking to take. Obviously sometimes it is cheaper to sort yourself, but there are hassles involved which is where I want to step into the market. I will certainly not be looking to charge ridiculous prices, I want to encourage repeat business, not drive people away. I hope I have got accross where I am trying to come from, and the level of service I hope to offer. Rogerthebutler, I posted on here as the vast majority of the people who's comments I read would be the kind of people I'd love to offer a service to. :) |

How about a "Gamblers Marathon" on a saturday. Crayford in the morning, Sandown in the afternoon, Wimbledon in the evening and a trip to a casino
That'll sort the men from the boys ![]() Me and a couple of friends did that in the 80s, ended up in the Golden Nugget(nearly skint) ![]() |

We actually did White City, thanks to the feck that Greyhound meetings consisted of "Only" 8 races then and there was a six race card at Sandown(We did Hackney in the morning and missed the last two to get to Esher visa ve a Transit Van)
