yeh looked good coming from a long way back in a big field but form of the race doesnt look much. really like red duke and thought he was very unlucky last time.

I think this is a very poor renewal of the champagne stakes. don't particularly like the favourite- don't think it was a great acomb either. So i've laid him and backed daddy long legs, even though his racecourse debut wasn't exactly breathtaking either, just that i'm hoping aiden can bring about improvement.
Is it just me or have the 2 year olds looked very dissapointing this year? I know we probably say this every year, but then again go back 12 months and we had frankel and dream ahead. who are the superstars this year? to be honest the two year old that's impressed me most is the one who won yesterday, efthihaad or whatever it's name is, won the same conditions race that frankel won.

Frankly 'Daddy Long Legs' is one of the most horrible names ever given to a racehorse, this alone tells me he cant be a champion because no horse can ever be taken seriously with such a stupid name![smiley:crazy]Still he looked impressive today.

I've got a feeling. Just a feeling...we might have seen the new mozart / stravinsky there. July Cup winner imo.
:o
Dont think he could handle a full blown mile vs the very best. but similary I cant see him staying much further on breeding. I'm looking at this from a Scat Daddy point of view. a drop back to 6 vs the older horses could end up being his thing.

His breeding is all dirt, with scat Daddy and even Johannesburg being bred for dirt.
Hopw I'm wrong about this though.
