The progressive three year old ran out an impressive winner of a well-contested Newbury handicap in May but wasn't seen on the track again until chasing home Sea Moon in the Great Voltigeur last August.
The Roger Charlton-trained colt was amongst the leading fancies for next month's valuable handicap but is set to miss the contest.
Charlton revealed on his Twitter account: "Al Kazeem due to miss The Cambridgeshire in favour of running in Group 3's with The Dubai Duty Free being his next possible target."
Dare To Dance, trained by Jeremy Noseda is the general 7-1 favourite for the Cambridgeshire.

Cry Fury is still being aimed at the race - according to the trainer's website - despite his defeat on Saturday. The extra furlong and stronger gallop will certainly suit.

Labarinto to miss Cambridgeshire
BY DAVID MILNES racingpost.com LEADING Betfred Cambridgeshire contender Labarinto will not take his chance in the famous handicap a week on Saturday, but is likely to be in action in a valuable contest at Newbury this weekend. 10-1 with the sponsors for the Cambridgeshire, Khalid Abdullah's colt would need 20 horses to come out of the race, which has a maximum field size limit of 35. He won a handicap over 1m2f at Goodwood in July and will stick to that distance for Newbury's £75,000 guaranteed Dubai Duty Free Handicap on Saturday. Speaking on Wednesday morning, trainer Sir Michael Stoute said: "I don't think he'll get into the Cambridgeshire and the races are only a week apart so we'll look to run at Newbury on Saturday." |

Distant Memories heads the weights following the confirmation stage for the Betfred Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on Saturday.
A full 92 horses remain among the entries for the first leg of the 'Autumn Double', but only the top 35 are guaranteed a run in the valuable contest. Jeremy Noseda's Dare To Dance heads the ante-post betting but he is currently 45th in the list. Other leading contenders include Roger Charlton-trained duo Cry Fury and Proponent, John Gosden's Questioning and Maraheb from the John Dunlop yard. |

havent been through the runners yet - too many ,but a nice stat ive dug up is,of the last 10 winners.
5 had won at newmarket,2 had been placed - all in big fields,2 others had run there but showed nothing. only 1 out of 10 hadnt run at newmarket,narrow down to winners/placed horses in big fields - |

Dare To Dance has an obvious chance and I'll be having a decent saver on him but I was even more delighted to see that Maali crept in as bottom weight.
Hoping to get a nice 3 figure price on Saturday. Ran well earlier in the season but was turned over when long odds on last time when Clive Brittains horses were running like drains. Stable has come back to form the last 10 days or so and, if the draw is fair, I think this one could go very well. |
