In what looks an open year, especially after Pour Moi's retirement, I honestly thought I'd seen this year's Arc winner this afternoon as he powered clear to win by 10l only to discover later that he's a gelding and therefore ineligible. Matt Chapman clearly wasn't aware either as he talked up his chances and even quoted 25-1(Lord knows where he got that from).

Many may point to the fact that he's well exposed having ran in 6 Group 1's without a win  but the visual impression is that he's improving and on his run in June against last year's 3rd Sarafina wouldn't have had much to find if he has.

Sarafina beat him rather well, but I do agree he is improving.

Really don't think it would be anywhere near good enough but then the Arc has had a few average winners.

Why he didn't run in the International I'll never understand.
