Obviously a good horse, progressive and has good profile for the race. Not sure I agree that 12s is massive however, especially with lots of similar types at the top of the market.

At the prices, I prefer Diescentric

After Dare to Dance's win at the Weekend, you would have to give him a sound chance. Lightly raced and looks progresive, 10s in places, 8s generally, can see this going off short...

That will depend on on weight it now gets allocated, though it would have needed a rise to get in. I agree a very progressive horse, but does it now need at least 10F?

Stoute has run some good horses in this race,Nooshman 2nd,he won it in '76? with a horse of J Trees that he got only 2 weeks prior to the race.He had a hot fav in '82?,beaten out of sight but went on to group glory at Longchamp.
At this 3 day meeting his handicappers have run 2nd twice,Nooshman, and a horse beaten in a photo by Startori in 2005,apart from the other handicappers that i've mentioned, going back to 1973 his record with them is dreadful.
If hes a group WINNER in the making,he probably wont win this.If he gets beat,he'll probably win one.A group horse is a horse that WINS a group race,if he doesnt win a group race then hes a HANDICAPPER.
Before the Hunt Cup a sage came on and said that you need a horse with group potential to win it.How many Hunt Cup WINNERS have gone on to group glory?,even Arlington Million winner Teleprompter finished second in the race [beaten neck in Cambs].
So can we please confine the stupid phrase "HES A GROUP HORSE RUNNING IN A HANDICAP!!"to the dustbin where it belongs.
As for him needing 1 mile 2 furlong, wheres the problem?,you certainly need a 12 furlong bred horse for this race!!!.

Correct Zilzal,i couldnt be bothered to go upstairs and check,Geoff Lewis on The Hertford finished very fast but the jockey was already easing up on the winner,if memory serves me well enough?

Pipedreamer,

Your namesake, Tazeez, Formal Decree and Blue Monday, who have won 4 of the last 6 runnings, all went on to win Group races. Pipedreamer was in fact a very genuine GP1 performer.

I agree that the ability to get 10F is an important attribute for the likely winner, but needing it is somewhat different. I thought that Dare to Dance struggled to go the early pace and only really asserted in the last half furlong. Could well see post race comments( if it gets in ) as 'stayed on well, closest at finish'

Man of Action is the one for me, unproven over further than a mile but looked a tad unlucky at Goodwood in the Ladbroke and looks very capable of winning off this mark.

Throw in a bit of course form and a decent price and its my first throw of the dice.

MOA will need Good or Good to Firm going imo, but the past fews years it has been decent ground anyway.
