prices up now and Golden Lilac looks a very fair price at 11/8,just taken my chunk of it from billys,
Galikova next best at 9/4
Waldpark 9/1
Colombian 12/1
Glaswegian 20/1
Dunboyne Express 20/1

GL has already beaten Galikova easily and surely will confirm that tomorrow with this trip of 1/2 a furlong shorter even more of a positive for her, first time taking on the colts, but there is already formlines in france that have GL easily coming out ahead of this  bunch

11/8 fill your boots

Are there any pacemakers in here ?

Last time the whole field ignored the pacemakers and it suited those with the speed, Golden Lilac. That said, she did win well so you'd expect her to follow up.

Galikova has a pacemaker in the race again and her connections have said

'Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager to Galikova's owners the Wertheimer brothers, said: "Whether she can turn the tables on Golden Lilac is the big question. Golden Lilac is a very good filly, she's won the Guineas and the French Oaks very easy, but Galikova keeps improving so we hope she can win."

He added: "We think the trip is fine for her, it will be a different pace so that won't be a problem. It's going to be a very nice race'

Skybet's 33/1 Red Dubawi is a c0ck-up.  Hills 28/1 not far behind.

Absolutely, Ribotman.  Took the 9/1 can't possibly be any bigger than that.

This is an odd race for a group 2.

You've got three proven Group 1 horses in there (2 fillies and Waldpark).  Why are they running here?  Are they prepping for something else?

That said, the rest look unexceptional.

I'm no bet but if forced would go with Galikova to turn around Diane form.

It's unusual for a horse to achieved as much as Golden Lilac while posting such low speed figures, either she's been very lucky to have had things her own way or she's a high class filly who just hasn't had the chance to show what she can really do. From my point of view it's the latter. I can see why Galikova's connections are hoping that a faster pace will give their filly a chance of turning round the form, but the way I saw it a better pace would've seen GL winning even more decisively. I'm no expert on German form but I was quite taken with Waldpark's win. It would be dangerous to dismiss him as he'll like the ground and remains unbeaten but I'll be surprised if GL doesn't have too much speed for him. The 13/8 and 6/4 available looks very fair.

Are you kidding me? How can you watch GL's last race and say she won decisively? Galikova took a little while to get going but once she hit top speed she was mowing GL down at the end. I think she was unlucky not to win last time and I fully expect her to reverse that form today.

Baxta you are crazy,it was totally decisive and it could have been even more so if the jockey on GL did not fear he would get boxed in,if you watch the race again you will see that coming down the home straight GL was on the inside rail 3 furlongs out and had 2 horses on his outside boxing him in and the jockey decided he had to make his move early while the gap was there,he then asked her to go and in a matter of strides she blew past the horse on her outside, was pulled out and went readily clear, she completely outpaced galikova and was coasting to the line when galikova was running on,
