Quite astonished WF has not even been given an entry here. What if he gets a stone bruise a day before the ARc ? They'd absolutley kick themselves.
Report sintonian August 3, 2011 4:02 PM BST
... Maybe it is because it's at Ascot ?

I thought I read somewhere after the Eclipse that they've given up the idea of getting 10f grp1 win for Workforce (seemed a little hasty to me considering he ony just lost out to horse many think quite special).
I agree though strange they haven't even bothered to enter - I'm still not convinced he has a problem with Ascot.

SYT is now entered in this race, the Irish Champion Stakes, the ARC, the BC, The Cox Plate and the Melbourne Cup if you believe some dreamers.

Ill put this one down as another that wont be happening me thinks.Laugh

just the f**ked up sort of race someone like Carlton House will win.

(you know what I mean)

sh!te race, any decent horse goes to the arc and usually ends up an after thought re fame and glory!

twice over runs v well at newmarket and even at 6 will run well no doubt.

carlton not out of either elg.

'twice over runs v well at newmarket and even at 6 will run well no doubt.'

The champion stakes isn't at Newmarket this year though.

I think that this year's Champion Stakes will be the best we've seen for a while. Increasing the prize money will only make better horses race in it, and the entries look pretty good. Twice Over is not a proper G1 horse and it would be disappointing if the race was weak enough for him to win this year.

Can you really see Horse's skipping the Arc or the Breeders cup to run on what could be autumnal soft ground??

Might have to coinflip here.

which won to go too....Champions Day or Arc day :o

or maybe both.
Report sintonian August 8, 2011 9:17 PM BST
depends if you get luck in-running, I suppose. You can run in the Arc and end up not even having a hard race.
Report cryoftruth August 8, 2011 9:19 PM BST
Looks like Henry will win it again.

Only Midday will do it this year.
