After the strangely run KG with no O'brien pacemaker where next? i'd guess that the group 1 1m 2f races would be a bit sharp prep run over 1m 4f somewhere before a crack at the The Arc?
I wouldn't write him off in the Arc lads, he is lightly raced and still has improvement in him. he would also benefit from a group 1 jockey, Dylan Thomas was turned over a few times before he won the Arc remember.

Well, the traditional reply of 'Triumph Hurdle' is clearly out, he has missed his chance in that one and as he has already been beaten this season by this years runner-up, that's probably for the best...... Seriously though, what has he done this season to warrant any consideration for the Arc given the likely strength of that race this year? I agree that he might make a cup horse next year and so the Irish St Leger could be the next stop.

Agree with figgs, need to see him in an end to end gallop over 12f before a final judgement is made, but at this stage it looks to me like he is a proper stayer and needs further,14f and upwards

He showed such speed at 2 that I feel he should be effective at 1m4f (beat trees, but impressively in slowly run races having been held up), also, the Midday form is looking better again now as she clearly didn't run her race at the Curragh. Plenty of horses don't like Ascot, so I'm definitely willing to give him another chance and will consider him closely whereever he goes next,
Murtagh still speaks highly of him despite not having the Coolmore link also, he hardly had a 3yo career so in terms of experience on the track, he is still open to lots of improvement.

Have we ever known Coolmore be so downbeat as they were both before and after the King George?
No hype beforehand, the price drifts all week and come to after the race and no complaints?
They could have easily trotted out a 'needs faster ground' excuse after Ascot but they seem like they're not that bothered about him.
It was suggested that Fame and Glory might go back to the Arc and St Nick seems well down the pecking order now..

think was given a bang average ride, had no chance with a ride like that letting top class horses have a fair lead on you when a medium gallop at most tehn trying to catch them when they decide to kick... not brightest idea in my opinion on a horse that looks like it could be the next big stayer (cup horse) to me??? I know its his son but seamie and the others must be unhappy they dont seem to put a foot wrong whenever given a chance and then they miss out on a ride like that.. surely obrien wants to give the best possible chance of winning? and putting his son up in group1s is a major disadvantage to teh horses chance? Wonder how long the owners will put up with that? Ps i didnt have a bet in race so not pocket talk.
