Pisco Sour looks to have been seriously underestimated here, with as big as 10/1 available (if you can get on). Timewise that Royal Ascot race was pretty hot and compares well with any of the best 3yo middle distance races run this year. His best form has been on soft ground and the going at ML today is described as such, although you can never be sure about French descriptions as I've known good to firm ground described as soft. There's always a danger of no pace in these races but as he's usually ridden handily hopefully it wouldn't be too much of a hinderance.
Some horses peak at Royal Ascot and never really run to that mark again but if he's in the same form he will be very hard to beat and looks sure to at least make the frame. I'm not going to discuss the other runners as his form looks a cut above theirs, imo.
yep big price....colombian might be a bit a shade classier and gosden / buick on a hot streak but PS is way too big.
not really scared of the french horses.

Same old story with you lot, everytime a british horse runs abroad in the likes of france, italy and germany you seem to just concentrate on the british raiders form and have pretty much no idead of what the local challenge has to offer apart from reading a line or 2 on the rp website or papers,
for you (figgs) to say that PS looks a cut above anything else in the form book, then i would expect you to be having a very serious bet at 10/1 and not let this oppertunity pass you by and the same goes for you sankara,if you think he should be favorite then lump on
However i doubt that any of you have reviewed replays of the french horses to come to this conclusion and are purely just guesssing and hoping that they are not good enough,
Having watched through Valiyr's races,it will take a mighty performance to beat him,he finished a neck 2nd to Meandre on his first racecourse start in april on this course (1st 2 stretched well clear of the 3rd impressively) he then went on to score very easily on his next 2 starts showing a very classy turn of foot and should have made it 3 wins in 4 starts last time out but for just failing to close down stable rival and pace maker when the field let it go clear,
i do agree with you that PS is a little overpriced, but would not be surprised at all if he finished unplaced,am not having a bet in the race but expect the fav to be hard to beat,
good luck to you all

Ta lads. It was pleasing to see Fortune not afraid to remain in front when it was obvious there was no pace, wish a few more jockeys would do the same. Because of the slow pace, bunch finish nature of the race I think this horse might continue to be underrated, with some people maybe thinking he stole it and focussing on the 'unlucky' runners behind.
