His top lifetime rating from me is a poor 83 (about 110 BHA), way short of what's required to win a King George. Took ages to get going to win the Coronation Cup against Midday whose Epsom form figs is now 222.

Hi SOF. His times this year haven't been good enough, but that's simply because the races haven't been run to achieve a fast time. However, I had him on a huge figure for the RPT as a 2yo. Anybody who says he didn't run fast for the conditions that day has not allowed for the slowing ground. After his Guineas flop some people said he was just hyped, but some 2yos just don't go on as 3yos. I remember a disappointed O'Brien saying that they had been confident because he had been clocking times similar to their previous best milers. I don't think that was hype at all because his RPT figure really was that good. Actually I'm glad he hasn't run a big figure this year because it means he will be primed for the big day and I think I've seen enough of him this season to believe he's going to deliver on his 2yo potential. I've backed him at 2/1 and will probably be backing him again.
