Reckons Cape Blanco destined for GNS but had a setback & switched St Nic & therefore had a rushed prep.
Funny how time plays tricks with the memory.

Yup. Obviously we don't want to advertise the fact his mrs told everyone on her twitter page on the 16th May that he was running in this race. They would stop her page once the 'contradictions' became more obvious.

?
She told everyone a year after the race that he'd be running in it?

I think what he said was that Cape Blanco was under consideration for the Guineas, i.e. he debated in his own mind if the horse would have enough speed for the race.

The plan with St. Nicholas Abbey was always to run in the Guineas from what I understand. But in hindsight, and with the knowledge of subsequent injuries that getting him to that race caused, it was a mistake.

Funny how BF punters always look for the bad in everything O'Brien says.

Oh I see now - just seen the interview there. Ignore my last comment, I had just read the text of part of the interview when I said that.
