Blue Bunting ,who on breeding needs at least 12furlongs, wins a Guineas on fast ground . She is a max bet for the Oaks. Already sets a good standard going into the oaks but is guaranteed to be better over further. It will take a pretty good performance between now and Epsom to stop her going off at odds on on the day

Midway Lady was the last 12 furlong horse that won the Guineas. Normally the talk is will she or wo'nt she stay but no doubts about Blue Bunting. Trying to remember if there was any 12 furlong Guineas winners inbetween . The st Leger also could also be on the agenda

Yes but she is 3/1. And unless the field cuts up drastically and no candidates emerge from York,Leopardstown and Chester then id be very surprised to see BB go off odds-on.

just checked the breeding of all 1000 Guineas winners back to 1981. 4 qualifiers Fairy Footsteps 1981 did not win Oaks but the other 3 all did Midway Lady 1986 Salsabil 1990 and Kazia 2002
