Do i get to Newmarket early and get food and a pint in the town centre before racing after a straight changeover at cambridge station or do i spend the hour at cambridge station and getting something there at the top of staition road or in the station before the next train and straight to the racetrack ?

Looking for a cafe/breakfast/light luch food option and an alcholic drink.

Im not sure what the best option or where to go is. Any ideas ? Cheers.

The station in Newmarket is a 5-10 minute walk away from the high street, so you might as well go there first, have lunch in the high street (possibly the White Hart, which is close by), and get a taxi to the course (it is 30 minutes walk from the high street). If you had lunch in Cambridge you would still have to go to the high street in newmarket to get a taxi or face a similar walk up to the course.
