"In the 1000 Guineas we have the lovely Empire Maker filly Make A Dance representing us," reported www.barryhills.com.
"She was very impressive when she won her maiden at the end of last season at Newmarket and she has matured nicely over the winter.
"It is never easy to tell where you stand when it's your first run of the year, but if her homework is anything to go by, she should have a good chance."

Ghanaati is a beautifully bred and beautiful-looking filly. We've always had high hopes for her. She won her maiden well after behaving badly at the stalls. Barry Hills must have been pleased with her to want to start her in the Guineas.
Clockwork universe?
You bet

sounds good Madhu and does your confidence no harm, but after reading the Racing Post this morning, it looks like the race will be a multi dead heat, according to all connections, everything is firing up the gallops. cheers.

Ghanaati beat Laudatory by 6 lengths 'very easily' (according to the Racing Post comments in running). Laudatory won his next two races, including a handicap, following which his official mark was 83. Make A Dance beat the 77-rated Vita Lika by 4 lengths 'comfortably'. Ghanaati was probably flattered to beat the newcomer Laudatory so easily, and the latter almost certainly improved for his debut, but a strict interpretation of the form suggests to me that Make A Dance's maiden win is anything up to a stone below Ghanaati's maiden win (allowing for the considerable ease of Ghanaati's victory). It's by no means an exact science, but Make A Dance will need to have made considerable improvement to make an impact in the Guineas. She was reasonably good value at 50/1 and 40/1 a few days ago, but she's too short now at current odds. Only the Hills clan will know how she measures up against their previous Guineas horses. It would be amazing if they managed to pull off the same trick twice in the space of three years!
