I was taken by this horse 1st time out, was gambled in from 10/1-10/3 and the next two home have both won well, the 3rd is highly regarded by Ox. Anyone got any thoughts.

Going for a derby trial and is being aimed at Epsom. Happy

Just watched the race. Visually impressive and you would imagine that APOB has left plenty to work on. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this as the leading Ballydoyle hope.

you could be right but he was gambled on that day implying he was fit. may not be that much improvement

Not gambled on because he was good? Remember Footstepsinthesand...

I can't see how Zanughan will overturn the form in the Derrinstown and once he wins this he will go into single figures.

He is a very good horse. I hope they go for Derby.

Joseph was claiming 3lb that day. It's hard to say whether or not form will be confirmed next time as all the horses are lightly raced. It was a good Maiden.

Looking at the race Markmanship never looked like losing so i would say he will definitely confirm form, the horse which finished 6th in the maiden race won at Tipperary tonight. A long way from Derby form but so is WD's and that trades at 7/1.

Markmanship form is as good as you can get for a Maiden Winner. Interesting horse for the year now

Was never going to be aimed at the Derrinstown Duncan. The Ballysax horse always run their. However Mark has been very very strong the past few weeks.

I think he might run in the Dante as he is not in at Lingfield either.

Their is going to be clash somewhere i would imagine unless they target that race that Jan Vermeer won last year before going on to Epsom. Either Seville/Recital clash in the Derrinstown Seville/Marksmanship Dante or that Curragh Prep race on Guineas weekend i think it is.

they have ran more than one in the Dante before. Fremantle/Black Bear Island finished 1st and 2nd a couple of years ago.

I personally think Seville will head to York.

My mistake, thought i'd read this as a target for him.

they would have to stump up the money to enter him if they want him to run/

there has been the strangest pattern on this horse 2nite its all stopped now but someone wanted big numbers at 25 and above for about 15 mins

He's already entered.  Very unlikley to make the Derby though, surely. If he was ready he'd have been entered in the Gallinule so O'Brien must be struggling with him - and even if he was coming right in two weeks' time it wouldn't be the trainer's style when other, more obvious candidates are available.

unless hes goin to run about 10 this year![smiley:crazy]
