Agree about Viva alright! We'll have to back at those prices - no better horse to roll back the years. The reigning champ as well.
Irian is big at 10/1 for the same connections. |

No betting for the Champions Mile yet - for which Presvis is an intended runner I believe?
Why is the QEII Cup being run a week late this year? It's normally on the same card as the Champions Mile. |

I'm off to HK in a couple of weeks. Unfotunately miss this by a matter of days, so will have to make do with a Weds night at Happy Valley. Not been before - any advice? Where can I get some decent previews etc as I will no nothing about any of the runners I assume? South China Morning Post?

I think I would follow Royal Bench over a cliff so I will not be deserting him tomorrow. I managed to snap up the 10-1 EW this afternoon and I hope Peslier will not give him a mountain to climb like he has in his last two races!! I'm very worried Peslier will get Royal Bench boxed in from his No 2 stall position but if the gaps appear I'm sure RB has got the ability to go close in this one. He has also got a very good record on right handed tracks.
Lucky Nine is another one I like the look of in the Champion Mile and I think I will back him EW as well, this one likes to run up close to the pace so it will cover my Royal Bench bet if Peslier hits traffic problems. Lucky Nine has run some consistent races over various trips (7f-9f) this year and his form with Xtension and Beauty Flash would have to give him a squeak. Plus the home contingent have got a tremendous record in the race. |
