Hi,

I am trying to get my head around what will happen with the weights for Ayr. Obviously with Neptune Collonges running it throws the majority of horses out of the handicap with the bottom weight being 7st!  What will happen here will they introduce a minimum weight say 10st??? Which would mean the majority of horses would be running off the same weights thus the fav only carry 7lbs more than the big outsiders.

And lets face it there is doubts Nicholls will even run him anyway

Please give me your advice I am fanatical about racing and still learning

If Messrs Nicholls and Johnson declare Neptune Collonges and/or Tidal Bay at the overnight stage (Friday morning I think), then all horses from Balthazar King downwards will carry 10 stone.  I for one hope they don't.  I think it is fair to say though that this race is littered with winners from outside the handicap.

Minimum weight in an NH race is always 10st.
