1) Queue to the bog takes 30 minutes in Best Mate and if require a pi55 then expect 3 inches of it below your feet.
2) Read Paul Jones book take it all in. Say to your mate the arkle winner has an awesome record in the Champion the following year - never goes unplaced and back Big Zeb
3) The band in the marque always play some good and bad music but the bird who is lead singer is always 3 stone overweight.
4) Always find a bloke with earings in both ears whose on the phone who tells his mate he's found the first three winners and he should come more often as he's a natural.
5) ask my mate how he's doing. Not a had a winner for the first two days but he's always 'just about up'
6) Pay * for Burger and Chips and convince yourself it's good value.
7) Wish you hadn't bet on course because you've taken the 6-1 when you know 10s was avilable on Betfair.
8) Look at the Bumper field on Tuesday and say to everyone 'wouldn't it be fuuny in Cheltenian won at Cheltenham' then back Knight Pass as Cheltenian scoops home and no one gives a feck.
9) Meet a bloke in the bar on Thursday who looks like he's been sniffing glue but has still had the placepot up the previous two days.
10) Al Ferof wins the Supreme and you immediately wait for the price for next years Arkle rather than appreciate the moment.

Hard as this is to believe, I didn't take a p1ss the whole time I was there on tuesday. It was almost as busy as the gold cup that day.

Great post - No 2 about Arkle winner still bothering me. Lost heavily on Sizing Europe in the Champion Hurdle and he is continuing to haunt me having not backed him in either festival win since.
