Not sure what price this one will be on the day maybe 8/1 and i know i have missed out on some fancy prices. I have just been and checked out all his races and he has a terrific attitude and i cant see anything battling on better than him if he is in with a shout ay the last.  I dont think he needs soft dround either he was battling on well against Kempes on good ground... I think he would be a worthy fav.

I would rather take a chance on his jumping than on Ballabriggs, Oscar Time stamina or WAF being fresh enough. I think he is a solid Grand National horse. The Ruby factor will make him fav on the day as well.

ohn Smith's Grand National favourite The Midnight Club enjoyed a workout on Thursday morning under his potential big-race jockey Ruby Walsh.

The 10-year-old leapt to the head of ante-post lists for the Aintree spectacular with victory in last month's Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse, a race his trainer Willie Mullins won with Hedgehunter before he claimed National glory in 2005.

Walsh, who was on board Hedgehunter and 2000 National hero Papillon, is bound to have a fine choice of rides on 9 April, but Mullins is hopeful he will side with his leading fancy.

'Ruby was here and rode a bit of work on him, so we're quite happy,' Mullins told At The Races.

'I don't know if Ruby rides at Aintree, but I'd be hoping he does and would want to.'

Its not his stamina i would be worried about but his jumping! Doesnt look good enough for a National winner, Ruby or no Ruby.

Doesnt look good enough Kelami. Its a fooking handicap not the Gold Cup.

Grade 2 winner, placed in grade 1s over hurdles and fences, and runs off a very lenient 140. One thing he isn't lacking for this race is a touch of class

the handicap in this race means nothing if you dont jump well enough and dont stay 4m4f he will fade in the run in and will do well to finish in the first four if he gets round.

Angel Gabriel, if you read my comment properly, its his jumping i have serious doubts with, not good enough to win a National, even with the easier fences nowadays!

Maybe a few jumping errors will sap his stamina but the horse stays on well in every race and he looks like he is a bit of a character, i think his jumping was sound last timeout.
