My post was arrogantly expressed wasn't it! He was by no means short of pace in the Dewhurst, yet the fact he went for the 8f group 1 AND seemed to relish every yard of the trip on heavy going did suggest to me very strongly that he would prove a stayer, especially being by Galileo. Having looked at the damside, I can certainly see plenty of speed, her best performance coming over 7f, BUT she was by Danehill, a good influence for stamina, and I see RoC staying 10f well and probably being classy enough to stretch out to 12. In fact, I think he's O'Brien's best Derby hope on racecourse evidence so far, and I expect him to be in the first 3 at Epsom. If you look at what he did in the Dewhurst after being off for 3 months, stepping up from a maiden, and then you look at how far he beat the other horses who were up with the pace in France, you have to think he's got serious potential. |

Howellsy, i completly disagree with you on saying danehill is a influence of stamina when infact he is quite the opposite but Galileo's mixture of speed and stamina should see him cover epsom provided the colt has some class about him. It really depend how AOB sets him up and how he is ridden for the 2000G. any son of galileo should be out in front and have the field try catch him from a high paced crusing speed.
If AOB and JM hadnt belived their own hype SNS would have had a sprinting pacemaker for the fisrt 3f and then 2 and a half furlong out set out and see if they could catch him, either way SNS was a pure derby horse |
