Wouldn't be surprised if this improves markedly on the form shown so far this season. Already looking forward to Lydia's comments. Laugh

backed him last time, thought it was a 'funny' ride, i mean even if he was looking after it, thee are people betting on the outcome at the end of the day, and it didnt even place. i love ap and he is the punters pal but his last 2 efforts on this fella hae not been nice to see.

i thought he'd end up better than menorah, that might not be the case but theres no way im havin hes as bad as hes shown so far. and im sure i wasnt the only one thinking handicap plot but thats no surprise as many are already on the look out. i suppose u wait til it gets backed fom now on eh? it really is a shambles sometimes, its so bent and yet nothing is done.
Report Masterminded February 7, 2011 10:56 PM GMT
Yep backed it every race it's run nearly and probably will again on Saturday. You do feel like your being mugged because you don't know what they are doing. AP is great but his last 2 rides on GMOOH have been a bit of a disgrace. My thinking is that because they have Binocular for the CH that this guy has been set out for a repeat in the Totesport all year. It's the biggest handicap pot they could aim him for. They were probably hoping the handicapper would drop him a few lb's but he can see as well as we can that the horse is not being ridden to finish as well as it can. Hopefully we will see the best of GMOOH on Saturday whatever the result.
Report Mr Mischief February 7, 2011 11:41 PM GMT
AP: Look, kid, I - how much you weigh, son? When you weighed 11-10 you were beautiful. You coulda been another Binocular, and that skunk we got you for a trainer, he brought you along too fast.

GMOOH: It wasn't him, Tony, it was you. Remember that time in the Greatwood you came down to my stable and you said, "Kid, this ain't your night. We're going for the price in the Totesport." You remember that? "This ain't your night"! My night! I coulda taken Menorah apart! So what happens? He gets the title shot outdoors on the ballpark and what do I get? A one-way ticket to Palooka-ville! You was my brother, Tony, you shoulda looked out for me a little bit. You shoulda taken care of me just a little bit so I wouldn't have to take them dives for the short-end money.

Tony: JP and Jonjo had some bets down for you. You saw some money.

GMOOH: You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it. It was you, Tony.

Great post mr m, the ride gmooh got first time out needs to be explained, the horse was pulled, never seen ap ride a horse like that before or since, shame he didn't fancy explaining it to ruk, still, mustn't question his integrity!!!!!
Report sintonian February 8, 2011 4:45 PM GMT
erm am I the only one thinking his ride that day was not that bad .. in the context of things. It was the horses seasonal debut after all and he was conceding about 2 stones to Tocca Ferro! What's the point in ragging the ar5se off him ?? He was very kean during the race too.

Just wonder whether McCoy will ride or go to Leopardstown instead.

McLernon has ridden GMOOH before.
Report CROPSICK February 8, 2011 6:14 PM GMT
will it be running?
Report yeast February 8, 2011 6:36 PM GMT
Not a single pound waiting to be matched on here now. What's going on?

Report PFtrader February 8, 2011 7:26 PM GMT
perhaps that is what they want you to believe

Wouldn't dream of touching this one until a few minutes before the race, the market will tell the story
Report clouded leopard February 8, 2011 9:52 PM GMT
wouldn't take a whole lot of notice of this market atm . prices are all over the gaff.

plotting and scheming aplenty Devil
Report sintonian February 9, 2011 9:50 AM GMT
tbh, im amazed people are backing him atm anyway. his form is there for all to see this season and 10/1 is not that tempting in a race of this nature imvho.
Report Dark Destroyer February 9, 2011 12:40 PM GMT
Odds cut in several places so hopefully he runs. I'm on.
Report Aussi_is_back February 9, 2011 4:10 PM GMT
If it wins there should be multiple arrest warrants thrown about.

If they can do it to the cricketers they should get this one as well.

Should win, back to form bouncing at home.
Report GI MAC February 9, 2011 6:41 PM GMT
If he wins of his current rating of 150, does that automatically make him a champion hurdle contender?
Report Dark Destroyer February 9, 2011 6:58 PM GMT
Only if he wins with a stone or more in hand.
Report GI MAC February 9, 2011 7:12 PM GMT
He'd certainly need to win well thats for sure. I found the quote below quite interesting, although not sure whether to believe it or not. He was such a good horse last year, can't believe all his ability has gone, or even scope to improve.

Last year's Totesport Trophy winner Get Me Out Of Here will also head to Newbury before connections decide whether to go for the Champion Hurdle.

Trainer Jonjo O'Neill said: "Get Me out of Here goes for a repeat at Newbury and, if he won that really well, he would go for the Champion, but realistically he is two stone behind the Champion Hurdle horses.

"He has had a couple of bad runs, but he's had a little bit wrong with his back and then a hock. He's back on course now for Newbury."
Report PFtrader February 9, 2011 10:47 PM GMT
"a little bit wrong with his back"

Didn't the owner have another horse suffering from back problems last year who ended up winning a decent prize ? Laugh
Report duncan idaho February 10, 2011 8:36 AM GMT
''realistically he is two stone behind the Champion Hurdle horses.''

Yeah, right..Menorah and Oscar Whiskey ahve improved 2 stone in 11 months and he's stood still Mischief
Report neill d February 10, 2011 2:09 PM GMT
No he's gone backwards with injury and that Bastard of a handicapper won't drop him a pound.[;)]
Report eric_morris February 10, 2011 3:29 PM GMT
Think he will like the better ground and now his back is better, he is a spring horse, AP is on him, flat track now all make a difference imo.

Does anyone think 50/1 NRNB for him in the Champion Hurdle is a good bet?
Report El Apache February 10, 2011 9:31 PM GMT
Lydia quaking in her boots together with her sidekick ( that complete **** known as Mellish )
Report El Apache February 10, 2011 9:59 PM GMT
Yes Mellish is a real c*ck , no doudt wishing he could place his c*ck between Lydia`s ample bosom whilst waffling and pontificating his endless, mindnumbing tripe.
Report sintonian February 11, 2011 9:56 AM GMT
El Pache, Mellish has made more successful bets than you could ever dream about. I suspect Lydia probably has, too.
Report Aussi_is_back February 11, 2011 11:23 AM GMT
If this gets up Lydia should take a baseball bat to Muckhoys' head.

SPOTY, give me a laugh.
Report sageform February 11, 2011 5:44 PM GMT
I have had a very small bet on GMOOH just in case. Bothy a place my other bet. Big field handicaps are a mugs game usually.
Report yeast February 11, 2011 5:46 PM GMT
Really fancy Soldatino but if McCoy gets it up it I'll be livid. Had a saver on just in case.

Can hear connections already "Horse hasn't been right all season but in the last few days it's been showing some sparkle" blah blah, lie, blah blah, lie ad nauseam.
Report __O1 February 11, 2011 6:32 PM GMT
Did Imperial Commander not have a similar hock problem took him about a year to come back and then improved no end after originally showing some promise. If connections of Gmooh have got to the route of his problem that would explain any serious improvement. Take on board what people are saying because of who the trainer is but for me that is all part of the game working it all out. However dont think this horse is one of those dont think they would mess about with a potentially top class animal. For me is definately a play for me and will be my first bet for a while. GL everyone.
