I thought it ran a cracking race considering the ground wasn't suitable. Trip may have been a little too far and made one bad error.

Possible Arkle winner for me if the ground is softish.

Why do you say that flyingbolt? Looks green to me - loads of potential.

Green ?

After 11 races ?

Interesting concept.

Railway fences did him in.

clouted 1st one and after that no chance of getting the next two right....good recovery to rally for a close 4th.

Agree about the railway fences but think he'll be better left handed as well.

Thought Captain Chris (who'd have won without a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes) and Medermit were much superior to the rest ther tbh.

No offence meatloaf but your comment about being green has me in stitches.

no arkle winner there imo,,longer race would be more to their liking.

A handicap maybe but jumping was pretty poor imho

He jumped pretty well until the railway fences and as already pointed out, if you get one of those wrong, its easy to get the rest wrong!

Came back on the bridle though and is clearly a class animal, judging by his previous win (albeit three runner affair)

Thought he was being lined up for a handicap but off 150 he'll find it tough (though not impossible).

Having looked at his form, I think I will wait until he has soft ground before backing him as his best form appears to be with plenty of cut.  One to watch though as he was a grade 1 winner over hurdles in France and is not a bad jumper despite yesterdays race.

Think the ground will be too quick in the Arkle but if there was to be heavy rain, he would be interesting at a price.

He's definitely an interesting one - the Arkle might be asking a bit too much but there are good races to be won with him.

He'll get caught out if he forgets he's left France and jumps halfway up the fences again.

Was pretty impressed by him and dont think he was knocked about when winning chance had gone. Not sure hes an Arkle winner but in what looks like being a small field he is overpriced at 33s

Have taken 330 on here and still clinging on to some hope.

One thing that does encourage me is that O`Neill is a target trainer and will have  this animal  bang on in March. Ground and trip may have been against him at Sandown. Given soft ground , may still be a contender for the Arkle.

County Hurdle is the race for Rock Noir now that he has acclimatised.. would be nicely treated and could do an Ilnamar...

Ilnamar won C*ral Cup, not County Hurdle.

I never like Jonjo and grade 1 horses myself, not sure they go well together. Really liked him at Warwick, he has scope for improvement in the jumping department. Overpriced if he jumps well and there is cut, 2mile4 probably a bit far the last day.
