I haven't been to Chepstow before but will be going this Saturday. For those that have been before can you advise on whether it's worth buying Premier enclosure tickets or do the Grandstand tickets give you a good view of the course. I'm not that bothered by the additional bars/areas etc you may be entitled to go into with Premier tickets, it's simply a viewing decision I need to make.
The best viewing can be obtained by clinging to the roof of the stand, or if you are less of a daredevil, from a hospitality box. Otherwise you will lose sight as they run into the dip in the home straight: there isn't really anywhere that will offer you full view of the runners.
I don't think you get any better viewing from the "Premier" enclosure but you will certainly pay a premium for the privilege!

My advice is to blag your way into the ownwers and trainers, then stand outside in the viewing area. Nota great viewing track, not a great track. I live a well hit six iron from the track, i love going racing and will travel a long way. But i don't go to Chepstow.

I dont live a million miles away either, but your best view would be in front of the tele! Not a great place to go since they moved the paddock from up the top to down between the betting ring and the course.
Stay at home this week and go to Kempton next week instead!

To be honest, I'm trying to go to all racecourses at least once so will still be going this year. If it's that bad it might be my last visit. It can't be any worse than a rainy and windy day at Thurles which I did a few years back, and I spent the day with a fair few pikeys at Cartmel this summer. Chepstow might seem pretty good in comparison??
