This horse has probably been underrated because of his defeat at Leopardstown recently. The jockey received some well earned back lash but i also think the ground was somewhat holding that day, which was affecting the horses jumping. As we have seen on many occasions at Cheltenham, the Irish trained horses improved for the better ground. Zaidpour a high class flat horse will be bouncing off the better ground in March and may well have the speed to match and master Cue Card.
Sorry meant to post this on the Cheltenham forum. Anyway..... i think they will both be cantering Baracouda and im not convinced Cue Card can really quicken over 2 miles but i can see Zaidpour charching up the hill. We have only seen him run on bad bad ground in Ireland, he should improve vastly on better ground.

Ive just watched the Leopardstown race once again, and it just turned into a sprint with Zaidpour asleep with 4L to make up on ground quite holding. At least he stayed on well at the end. I cant wait until he takes on Cue Card come March.

Too soon after fairyhouse, and the race was run at a crawl. Mullins agrees. He will like the pace is a supreme. 9/1 was worth a point given I believe he is supreme bound

I'm not sure WM has run all of his best hurdlers yet. What has happened to Day of a Lifetime for example? He was possibly Willie's best bumper horse last year but ran no race in the Champion Bumper and is also owned by Zaidpour's owner. Bit too early to say but I think Zaidpour will run in the Supreme and either So Young or a n other will run in the Neptune.

He hurdles fast and fluent with a strong pace. He was running well against the likes of Byword at 10f on the flat. 2 miles will be his distance. You have to ignore these slowly run races in bad ground, the horses in front stole a march on him, by the time he got going it was too late. Ignore the race.
