This price seems absolutely massive. Cannot have J'y Vole back over 2m. Captain Cee Bee is horribly short at 11/4. Fragile horse with a lot to prove here. Golden Silver has never beaten Zeb and I wouldn't expect him to turn the tables anytime soon. He was visually impressive last time out but beat horses rated well below him. Made in Taipan was slaughtered by Zeb last year, Scotsirish will need to improve and is well held by GS and Follow The Plan will need them all to fall to win.

Zeb in Ireland on any ground over 2m is hard to beat, I'm actually stunned 7/4 is available against this field.

Golden Silver looks an improved horse to me this season and CCB will have his followers but I totally agree, 7-4 is an outstanding price.
Lets hope the racing goes ahead so we can take advantage!

6-4 in most places and I thoroughly agree with you.

Find it hard to disagree with that. Didn't like or rate Big Zeb at all prior to the QM this year but I was quite taken by his performance. He certainly justified the hype surrounding him

Captain Cee Bee for me is the only danger (see no reason why GS should reverse form) but Big Zeb looks pretty unopposable, particularly at the odds given

Dont willies normally improve from there first run? That would be reason enough to think he can turn the form around
Report CVByrne December 20, 2010 9:46 PM GMT
He's been beaten 3 times by Zeb this year. He's simple not as good as him. Golden Silver would have to post a career best to win imv.
Report arthurspooner December 20, 2010 9:54 PM GMT
Hates chelt and jumped poorly at fairyhouse that time was having first run this year when staying on strongly. not that much between them.

Rewatched the Champ Chase there and Geraghty waits and waits and waits to press the button on Zeb until after the last. He wins powering away from the from them, had he put the race to bed before the last he'd have won by more. Seriously talented horse now he's sorted his jumping out.

7/4 a gift imo should be odds on

Ladbrokes know you lads are all mugs and will lay you anythingDevil

Anyone know who will ride Big Zeb? Will Geraghty be in UK?
Report CVByrne December 22, 2010 10:47 PM GMT
I'm sure Geraghty will be riding given it's the Champion Chaser and there is only a G2 to be riding at Kempton.
Report Panto Prince December 22, 2010 10:58 PM GMT
Not one to trust IMO hence the price - stands up and wins but its a rollercoaster ride with the jumping. Too big a price to lay but couldnt' back it. Make sense?
Report Wicketd December 23, 2010 12:29 AM GMT
The way this race is likely to be run should suit Big Zeb, and I think 7/4 is well overpriced. Should be evens in this field I think.

Zeb's form when off a 6/7 week break 1F1111

Murphy insists his only reverse last season in the Tingle was due to the short gap in the races. Stats back up his argument.

I took 3pts win @ 7/4

Captain Cee Bee the danger, but if Golden Silver is ever gonna beat Zeb its on this ground.

Good call wicketd and all winners

Aye, fantastic horse.

Everything was against him today and in Golden Silvers favour. Yet he still delivered. I'm impressed with his jumping, he's been quite excellent now in all 4 of his chase wins this year.

He will improve for better ground.
