Its not entered in the Paddy Power Chase on the 27th December as Irish entries often are so quite possibly. It will love the ground but do you think it will stay? Could be feasibly handicapped if doing so and would therefore be of interest in the national as it jumped round there in the topham last time.

I remember a few years back before it got injured people were saying it could win a Gold Cup!

Looks like being on a generous mark to me and goes well fresh?

Just watched a rerun of last years Topham - how the hell it got round is beyond me as it made at least 3 serious blunders but got round it did! Its maybe a bit long in the tooth now for a welsh national - cant remember the last time a 10 year old won it (Riverside Boy maybe?)- but as you say its got a decent mark now, Id just be looking for proof of stamina although thats factored in the odds of 40-1. There was a welsh national pricewise special today in the RP by the way and I dont think it was mentioned in the trainers comments. Good luck anyway!

No i didn't see a quote from Dessie Hughes. Will probably wait to see if it actually runs rather then play the ante post markets
