Do you know how many runners are needed so a handicap chase doesnt re-open at the entry stage.

Many thanks if you know.

Any race Koo - less than 10 and it gets reopened.

I trust you're not planning to stick a few rogue entries in to stop one being reoffered, old chap? Shocked

no but i entered 3 in one race at rasen on sunday and its reopened.  Said 10 entries at 12.00 when i clicked on the screen but now it says reopened.   So wondered why it had reopened.   I presume one withdrew at 11.59 and it didnt register properly until a minute or 2 after the deadline

Race has received fewer than ten entries and the deadline for entries has been extended until 11.00 a.m. on the day after closing.

Also note that 'Field Size Limits' will only be used to restrict the number of runners in a race when the number of declared horses exceeds the Stabling Capacity of 87 for this fixture.
Entries will be reduced until the total number of declared horses is no longer above the Stabling Capacity.
