huge gamble on red desire.

By:
red desire has some solid form in the book and deffo main danger, still be suprised if she can beat midday.

Red Desire my pick in the F&M Turf too....
By:
dont think there is much between red & midday tbh but red is more suited to the conditions, at the prices only one bet

Id av to be with WOSPO on this won - different class ear imo

Red Desire for me too but with Harmonious and Plumania in there this is a lot tougher race than the one she won last year when she was almost 2/1.

Think everyone should be wary of the Japanese filly, her form is right in there and ties in with the Arc second (through Buena Vista) and also Conduit (who the very classy Vodka has beat). Usually the jockey is enough reason to take the Japanese horses on but they've got that base covered here. On this faster ground she should put up a much better showing than last time and the race could be very close. Think I agree with Ladbrokes pricing of the pair myself.

think red desire might be better on softer ground ben .
do you give hibbayeb any chance on this fast ground. |
By:
read Queally's blog re the ground, updated yesterday evening!

Red Desire relishes the firm, that's in the form book, there's no way she gave her running last time out for me.
Hibaayeb is an interesting one, she won well last time out and clearly enjoys the way the races are run as well as the ground. A fair bit to find on class but you know she'll run her race. Good luck :) |

midday wont be beat. imo of course

Harmonius 7/1 is the value

Still don't think we've seen the best of Midday this season, I'm in.
By:
Midday has been trained to peak for this race all year by Mr Cecil (even foregoing the live chance she would've had in the arc) and is running over her optimum trip. She will take all the beating. I take on board the fact that Red Desire is top class as she has consistently run well in goup 1 company in some fantastic times as well, but i think that midday only just does enough and will handle whatever is thron at her.

Wouldn't blame the interference but there looked no pace early to me.
By:
..which is why Queally should have switched her to the outside down the back straight for a clear run when he wanted.
By:
no way could he have switched, was nestled in the pack from an early stage. lack of pace did for her im and perhaps she was not fully letting herself down on the ground.
a form boost for Proviso |
By:
He had a chance to switch when Red Desire dropped off him down the back straight .. he didnt make the move he had to off the pace .. fair enough he stayed put but he would have been able to deliver an earlier more sustained run if he'd switched to the outside earlier.
