Good luck but my notes from previous 20 years of Champion stakes state in bold "AVOID MILERS...lack of winning form over the distance is too big a negative to ignore"

Aye fair point bestmate, I forgot to mention he seems ground ambivalent. Hmm Yeah wouldn't have been where I'd have sent him either really, but it doesn't look that hot a Group 1, Fuisse and Vision would worry me though. I think it might be one race too many for Twicey and I've generally tended to think that he is vunerable to a truly Group 1 animal. I like to think if they've a bit of class they stay and I reckon PV will be half asleep until the 2 furlong pole.

gl,can't see this staying the trip at all myself though.
Snow Fairy is my idea of the winner if she turns up. 10s with 2 firms looks too big to me. GL. |

By:
Vision De'tat for me is the likely winner. Lightly raced and over his optimum trip, i really cant see the others troubling him.
By:
sorry to say i am in the probably wont stay camp(so he will probably hose up)
By:
Vision D'etat @ 9/2 pour moi.
7/8 on grass upto 10f. fuisse aint got winning form over 10f, whilst I reckon York has knocked the stuffing out of Twice Over.. |

Given the forecast and drying ground, Tazeez is the ew value in this race.
By:
If tazeez wins, I give up the game

Any thoughts on Gitano Hernando lads, he's another that could be interesting but you wouldn't know what he's being peaked for
By:
Fuisse & Gitano interest me
By:
Twice Over for me
By:
yep poets a shoe in vs a lot of slow horses
By:
That would form a fair part of my thinking aswell MP, My kingdom for a slowly run Champion Stakes
By:
If there's pace in the race he won't get home. But jockeys continually prove they have sh*t for brains so I wouldn't discount the possibility of a dawdling early gallop that would play into his hands.

Tazeez goes for the group 3 Darley stks on friday,so gents who now will give us the pace in the race saturday? Only real one to have made the running was Poets Voice who made all when winning the Champagne (when a 2yo)lets hope the other jockeys are wise to dettori(unless you have backed him.lol) who may well try to dicate pace from the front

By:
Vision D'Etat - everything going for it in this imo.

Thought that Poet's Voice was a great bet in the QE2 and he tops my figures here at wfa. I have no idea if he will stay this trip, but even if he does I will be surprised if he doesn't suffer some kind of bounce/regression here. Await The Dawn is a lump on job for me.

By:
not a bad shout figgis,i like horse progressing at this time of the year, big step up but was mightly impressive LTO
By:
Already on at 8/1 ATD, open to the most improvement of all the runners here
By:
Just on the bare form of his last race I have him 3rd best on speed figures, behind the aforementioned Poet's Voice and Twice Over. TO has had a busy season so I'm doubtful of him being at his best. ATD might be capable of imroving a few pounds on what appeared to be an easy win, but he might not need to anyway.
By:
Shame about Await The Dawn but I still think there's a bit of value in the race with Fuisse, for my money he's improved past Vision D'Etat this season.

By:
I fancy Sri Putra to run a good enough race. I was thinking about this horse then the trainer said they are blinkering him for the first time. With a strong gallop he might be in the mix. At 41/1 i had a go.
