The race doesn't say much to be honest. He could still be anything. What are their best 2 y/os ?

Zoffany is best two year old

A load of Guff in that stable among the colts....Very disappointing
|
|

Their light is dimming Wallace. Rip couldn't get the QEII, Fame & Glory and Cape Blanco were hammered, StarSpangledBanner was beat twice and now they have bought Canford Cliffs who might travel to win something. On top of that they have no top quality 3 y/o milers and only one good 3y/o filly. Too many of their horses haven't fired and they're buying.

And as for SNA
...we've probably seen the last of him. |

Seville - well bred - slight understatement!
Dam won a group 3 and the sire is the amazing Galileo. However his breeding is really very very stout indeed. The dam was by silver Hawk and the grand sire was Nininsky (stamina index 12.9 or something. Seville will certainly stay very well and his best hope of a classic win will either be a bog in the Irish Derby or the St Leger. In time he may be a cup horse. His form is quite good. He won by 5.5 lengths and this could just as easily have been at least 12. he won by 24 lbs imo from a 90 rated horse. He is going to be top class in all probability. However in probability he will be prevented from showing what he can really do by being kept to distances short of his best with cries from hios raining camp about his natural speed and with silly entries for the King Stand Stakes and the like. Perhaps this is a bit too cynical though for you Soldier! |

Think he could go for the RP fellas ?

|

nailed on isnt he
|

Highlighted him as a very nice middle distance prospect after his debut and given his very stoute pedigree thought they might aim him at the 10f Criterium De Saint Cloud which they won with Fame And Glory or the Criterium International also at Saint Cloud which they won with Jan Vermeer and Mount Nelson?

surely has no chance against frankel and co in the dewhurst.
|
|
By:
He would be an interesting Racing Post candidate though and that could be another good race with the mighty Dunboyne Express down as a runner and the going likely to have a bit of give in it.

Superb effort yesterday, he's a colt to look forward to over middle distances next season

where does Recital sit in the pecking order |
|
By:
A quote from Murtagh following Recital's winning debut at Navan on Wednesday ......
"He's a big, green horse who stays well and has plenty of class. You may see him in the first week of June next year." So clearly bestmate they think a lot of him. |
|
By:
Beautifully bred fellow sure to make a name for himself next year.

Recital is the colt for next year.
Seville looks more a St Leger type....a plodder along the lines of Age of Aquarius. Some good looking entries on 2moro for the maiden. Last Crusade is working of the Galileo- Danehill line and is from the family of kingsfort. Their is also a 550,000 Montjeu from the family of Kayf Tara and leading middle-distance performer Opera House. Personally i want to see Murtagh on board Last Crusade. The montjeu looks laden with stamina and thus rule out until the Leger |

Seville is a serious horse imo. will be a really nice 3 yo

Cry of truth you know your stuff have to commend you on your work..and yes agree Seville looks to be a promising colt next year over Derby trip.I liked him alot and Im big Ballydoyle fan ..gone off the boil of late and dont think there is an outstanding 2 yr old there but looking forward to next year its going to be a good year for them if we take out Frankel I think they are very well placed to win major races next year..However at this stage Frankel looks the one to be on
