my great friend soldier of fortune will be delighted to see this beautifully bred filly running tommorow at longchamp. Happy

of course you have to respect the favourite but honestly I think she's a lay and the aiden horse will win.

The first four home in the Moyglare seemed to have a hard race (the whips were out some way from home) and it didn't look a great renewal of the race, so I'll be disappointed if she's good enough to beat Helleborine.  I have a lot of respect for Mambia, who has progressed all season.

mythical as always my friend you are absolutely spot on the mark there.

By Galileo out of a Storm Cat mare, she truly is a beautifully bred filly Happy

The fourth best irish filly shook up White Moonstone last weekend and gave away a race today. I would be disappointed if the irish fillies aren't the best of the three countries this year and next. Memory was put in her place in the Curragh despite being set too much to do.

Misty For Me is one idle bitch who does nothing on front. Who knows how good she is?
The form lines point to the Irish being the best of the three countries and there's plenty to say she will go on the ground; dam's family certainly liked plenty of cut.

Mythical Prince, you really know your stuff, but i really want the expert view on the french racing and am hoping the legendary storey tips me up some winners.

Although I'm hoping for a clear-cut win for Helleborine, whom I have backed for the Guineas, I think Mambia is great value at around 14/1.  She will surely be much shorter on the PMU.  She beat Crying Lightening (runner-up to White Moonstone in the Sweet Solera) by 4½ lengths last time in a Group 3 at Deauville, running on strongly in the style of a filly who will relish the extra furlong.  On the other hand, Fork Handles was beaten 3 lengths by Mambia in the same Deauville race but probably failed to reproduce the same level of form next time when beaten 8½ lengths by White Moonstone at Ascot, so who knows.  14/1 looks a cracking each-way bet with eight runners.

Current odds on Zeturf (to be taken with a pinch of salt): 3 Helleborine, 4.8 Misty For Me, 5.6 Mambia, 8.2 Rainbow Springs, 8.5 Galikova, 13.4 Miss Fifty, 14.3 Danedream, 15.1 Nitza

The best filly won and she acted fine on the ground.  She's clearly very tough and genuine.  Helleborine travelled well and quickly got into a challenging position but just couldn't get past the winner in today's conditions.  I'm far from disheartened by that performance, knowing that she will be better on a quicker surface.  She will have learnt from that experience.  I hope there will be a rematch in the Guineas.  In the meantime, well done MFM backers.
