Alleged 1977 too!! It was my first visit to Paris and the great Vincent O'Brien was on the Aer Lingus flight just one row in front of me.
Can't remember in between!!

hurricane run was my best win and the roar of the crowd was incredible as he came from almost last to first.
my luckiest winner was rail link .
just before the off my partner asked me for 5 euros to put on it i didnt have change so i gave her 50 euros and said mind my change she just stuck the fifty on it and of course it won .
i went    to collect what i thought would be about 250 euros and got handed over 1200 hundred .not bad for a horse i didnt even fancy.the **** money for deep impact had pushed it out to over 20/1
happy days.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Lammtarra, Montjeu, Dalakhani (only genuine win in the race) & Hurricane Run.

Laid Dylan Thomas and Zarkava.

It's been a much worse betting race for me than the Abbaye. Won on the price shenanigans w/ Deep Impact but failed to cash in on the winner, the easiest arb ever offered on a racecourse!

Rail Link
Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas is one of my proudest bets ever.  There was the usual conjecture about the state of the ground and the French description of it and I had half a fancy that it was faster than stated.  Waited for the previous races and did a bit of DIY speed figuring on them and decided I was right.  Fast forward to a thrilling Fallon ride, half an hour in the stewards room and finally, vindiaction.

Incidentally, the wiki entry for him still states that it was run on 'unsuitably soft ground'.  I disagree!

Rail Link on the PMU was nice (Thank you Japanese)
Westerner would have been nice, matched at three figure prices on here, but not to be thanks to Hurricane Run

Sagace
Dancing Brave
Carroll House - best priced winner by far Cool
Helissio
Peintre Celebre
Montjeu
Hurricane Run

Saddest moment - the great (not a word I use very often) Ardross just failing to get up and beat Akiyda.
