Were they a bit hasty in taking her out of training?

If she was mine I would happily have taken one last chance of her coming out the stalls given the way the ground is likely to ride at longchamp.  Still can't get it out of my mind the way she cantered all over Midday at the curragh

was already entered too so was not going to be a massive risk.

if she did not come out, then we all know about her temperment problem, if she did come out then, on this ground, her chance would be massive

decision took too quickly imo

How much is it to enter, ravel over, etc etc

Pretty big gamble if you think shes totally out of love with the game

nothing against the filly, backed her for oaks, but i think breeders will already think twice.

Irrelevant really what breeders think as she is a mare not a stallion and in all likelihood I imagine the owners will keep and race any progeny.

I tend to agree. If she was in at Longchamp she would certainly have had the going that would not just suit her very well but slowed a number of better horses down.

Still you can't say the she lost her last 2 starts because she was feeling the ground can you!!

Sariska would be unbeatable on the very soft ground forecast at Longchamp. She has never had that ground since the Irish Oaks and I am gutted she decided to stop racing.

Not unbeatable if she's stood in her stall.

If she was running and it was super soft then yes she may win,but as cryoftruth say's it would only slow the good ones down, ground like that can give false results she could not peg back that slow plodding Fame and Glory at Epsom I can't for the life of me see him winning on Sunday so if she was going to run doubt she would win at all unless the going was like a swamp that would then be a false result imo.

But still a win.
