Personally I think he's one of the best we've seen...but I think Makfi's better!

Would be interesting to see the sectionals for the Sussex Stks. Suspect you would find he didn't outstay Rip, he did something else.
Agree that Makfi has to be considered the better horse on what they have both achieved so far this season |

makfi is v good but the ground was the only reason he beat goldi last time!if its soft makfi will only have rip to worry about (who i feel is still to show his best this season although a mile prob on short side for him now), but canford looks to have all the aces on good ground, he'll sit off and they will not be able to go fast enough for him, and then pick up with 100 yards to go!!couldnt back him but i think he deserves to be fav!

makfi hacked all over goldi so dont give me it was just the ground. she is a very tough horse to beat on any ground. makfi is the real deal and will win this b4 going on to win in the US.

it was THE GROUND[;)]

these sort of threads always end in tears and this one certainly will

Why do people always use the ground as the reason Makfi would beat CC. The ground in the Guineas was G/F not G/S and he slaughtered them. The horse acts on any ground and had a valid excuse when CC beat him. For me Makfi is the better horse.

Hannon is very hit and miss at the moment. 9/4 would be my price for the horse.

The gods of racing will punish the Hannon yard for favouring Canford over the stable's other milers this season.

canford cliffs ran one of the quickest final furlongs ever recorded on the round course at goodwood.
this monster of a horse doesn't get the recognition he deserves. he will after saturday. |

By:
^tend to agree with this assessment.

Canford Cliffs is real class and is as exciting a miler as ive seen for years. Makfi handled conditions when Goldikova ran out of steam in the last furlong because of the underfoot conditions. Canford Cliffs will win again. He is a champion.
