I find this race impossible to analyse. Every single horse in the contest is a class act. With just 9lbs between top and bottom weight it shows how tricky it is to win. I am on a few of them but I won't be disappointed at all if I don't have the winner as I think you could run this numerous times and get a different outcome each time. If you are on some at tasty prices then good luck. It should be a tremendous race.
Hawkeyethenoo has not really put a foot wrong all season and this has been the aim all year. I think Noverre to Go also has a big chance and Quest For Success will also sneak into the places. I don't think Jonny Mudball will be allowed to tear off like he did in the Stewards Cup and it will be interesting to see if Tajneed takes him or if any of the middle numbers try and track across and make it towards the fence.
Good luck to all tomorrow.

Has won off a mark of 100 and been placed off 103 (in this race last year when just touched off by a head) Won a Group3 impressively at Newcastle in June beatinf Himalya by over 2l Has nt been competitive in his last 3 runs but 2 of those have been a t G3 and G1 level and the other was off a career high handicap mark of 108 at York
2. Kaldoun Kingdom :
CD winner, Hit form the end of last year off a mark of 89, winning 3 times and being 2nd and 3rd on 2 others- As a result his mark rose to 102 - was dropped 1lb for the Skybet dash and ran a stormer to just get touched off by Hawkeyethenoo, was well beaten nto at Goodwood off the same mark and hard to see him gettin involved off 4lbs higher here, even with the highly talented Adam Beschizza takin 5 off
3. Evens and Odds :
Good winner of the Stewards Cup at Goodwood lto when just nabbing Johnny Mudball late on- gone up 6lbs for that but was 4th in the race last year when he went off fav
4. Johnny Mudball :
Annhialated Poets Place by over 4l at Newcastle in May off 90 and wen on to run a stormer in the Stewards Cup when just getting caught late on off 99, a further 5lb rise here but seems progressive and could be more to come
5. Tajneed :
Just touched off in the Great St Wilfred at Ripon 2 runs ago off 94 but made up for it lto when winning there off a 3lb higher mark - raised to a career high mark here and has it all to do to win imo
6. Genki :
Well in at the weights here after a career best effort when third in the G1 Betfred Sprint Cup lto, already won and been competitive off this mark in some tough handicaps this season so must have claims here
7. Castles in the Air :
Won the Victoria International Heritage Handicap at ROyal Ascot after finishing behind Genki at Haydock - well beaten last twice
8. Jimmy Styles :
Winner of the race last year, only 3lb higher than that here, ran well in a Listed race in Salisbury in June but well beaten twice since
9. Rileyskeepingfaith :
Beaten less then 2l in his last 3 races in very competitive races - if he had a high draw would be a leading player here for me but could struggle from stall 5
10. Knot in Wood :
Richard Faheys 1st string? With Hanagan up - was 3rd in this race off 6lbs higher last year but has generally struggled since- comprehensively beaten lto
11. Hitchens :
A winner lto at York but i dont think that was the best C2 handicap that will ever be run. 4lbs higher here in a better race, is not for me
12. Poets Place :
Winner of his last 2 starts off 86 and 96 and is off 101 here, 1lb well in won with a bit to spare at the finish lto in the Portland so should be more to come
13. Quest for Success :
CD winner, i really think this one is overpriced at 28+33/1 2nd in a Listed race at Chester in August, ran well when 3rd and fav behind Hamish McGonagall in a decent handicap at York 2 runs back off 100 (todays winner Cheveton behind in 6th) Ran poorly lto when quiet well fancied behind oets Place in the Portland - always worth forgiving a poor run imo and 1lb lower here
14. Signor Peltro :
Has nt been beaten far in some competitive races off this mark without gettin his head in front, good draw to work from, wont be beaten far again imo
15. Damien :
Has nt won since his debut 2 and a half years ago but has nt been beaten far in some competitive races, drawn in 22, will be worse 40/1 shots imo
16. Parysian Pyramid :
Low draw in 4 - races off 99 and never won off higher than 91, not for me
17. Striking Spirit :
Nice draw in 27, 2nd behind Hamish McGonagall at Mussel off 94 then went on to finish 2nd behind runaway winner Laddies Poker two in the Wokingham, 4lbs higher than those runs here after 2 average efforts since
18. Victoire De Lyphar :
A horse very much on the upgrade imo, drawn 24, off 101 here but gets a 2lb age allowance- after starting off the season off 83 with 2 wins - 4lbs higher than when just failing at Goodwood lto when leading home his group - leading claims here
19. Flipando :
Well beaten in last 3 starts, hard for me to fancy here
20. Damika :
Great St Wilfred winner but never got competitive off this mark lto
21. Partner :
Extremely disappointing lto when a warm 11/8 favourite at the Curragh off a mark of 89, has it all to do off this mark here and a low draw
22. Prime Exhibit :
Lee Topliss is 1/1 on this one but bar that win has been nearer last than first in 3 out of his last 4 races
23. Hawkeyethenoo :
Course winner, Won the Skybet Dash lto wen he had a few of these behind, been raised 6lbs for that and personally think he's short enough at 8s
24. Noverre To Go :
5th in the Stewards Cup lto, same mark here, drawn 20 Will be in front at some stage the last 2 furlongs imo, whether he can stay there or not is another question- could give a bold show
25. Redford :
A big step up on the form of his previous 3 runs lto when 3rd at Chester after not having the best of runs when staying on strongly at the finish- Placed off 102 in May so off 97 here has to be of interest with Frankie booked
26. Arganil :
Dont think he'd win if he started now
27 Johannes :
Same as above
What a tough handicap to sort out - with 27 runners and only 9lbs from top to bottom - i will be siding with the ones drawn high myself and hope there is no acts of god overnight!
Quest For Success i really think is overpriced at 33/1 and well worth a bet
Victoire De Lyphar been well supported today and is one i am really keen on and cant see out of the places
Noverre to Go at 25s would complete my 3 against the field
Will play some Forcasts and tricast on the above too
1. Victoire De Lyphar 2. Quest For Success 3. Noverre To Go 4. Johnny Mudball
If it was only that easy

Think you've been a bit harsh on Arganil His last three runs have been respectable imo and 8lb lower than his AW rating. He doesn't appear to have good draw from stall 2 though but had a bash at 50/1 last week and 90/1 on here. gl.
