Best of the Hannon 2-year-olds IMO!

If you believe that the horse is underrated, then take advantage and support him when he runs, it'll pay off if you are right.

I believed that SOMNUS was underrated, especially on it's 2yo form,
but thought that it was because it was a gelding, righly or wrongly I got a good few wins, some of them group 1s, out of him.
Check him out on Racingpost site.

Checked it out, can see why you were impressed! I just can't believe King Torus is 9 points bigger than Strong Suit! I've taken fancy prices about him winning the 2000 Guineas, but on his Goodwood form last time out and his Racing Post Trophy entry, I want a price for the Derby! Bit of a stretch of stamina perhaps being from Oratorio but he switches off so well in races I think it can be got!

i think a few dont take him serious due to his one poor effort in the Chesham, although me personaly can forgive a horse poor runs at ascot(as i think at times Ascot has a 'form book' of its own.)

So yeah dont be put off if you fancy him, pretty sure the likes of Timeform have him high up in their top 2yo lists.

Why worry about how others rate him? As you fancy the horse you must be pretty happy about getting bigger prices than you believe his ability would warrant. If you dont back your own judgement the alternative is to become a Hugh Taylor/Tom Segal shill (like certain posters next door).

My one note of caution is that KT's form was from the mid-season period when Hannon was winning everything. Juveniles making later debuts such as Saamid and Frankel may set a higher standard than the Hannons were competing against.

Good luck.

ascot just does not suit some horses and really suits others. i totally agree with you and king torus is hell of a horse.

You're right Destoryer, I just couldn't believe that Strong Suit is such a shorter price than King Torus is for the Guineas! Posted this expecting someone to say "injured" or "not being aimed at the race" something like that which may have slipped my attention!
Best of luck guys!

I think the OP is right to ask incase others think it won't run due to alternative plans or trip doubts. If you're going to place an ante post bet you may as well ask around a bit.
