top3, i agree completely. I think the straight rowley mile will suit her coming off a strong pace without Hayley on top. At Salisbury she took an almighty wallop from the eventual winner and would arguably have got her head in front, but in her previous 3 races i dont think that hayley covered herself in glory by hitting the front too soon at ascot twice, and finding all sorts of trouble up at York (although i have to concede that its a bit harsh to blame her for that one) last time. I think that she will be a decent price due to the row of seconds in the form book and shall be backing her accordingly

Seems to be a difference of opinion on her chances??
Breeding - Exceed And Excel (AUS) (6.5f) — Special Dancer (Shareef Dancer (USA) (9.9f))
Has lots of speed, but dam was 10f horse.
What do we think?

I admit to backing her for the Guineas at 40/1 after her unlucky second the time before last. I've mentally torn up my ticket after the Salisbury run though- unlucky or not you don't want to see a Guineas filly getting beat in a listed race.

As far as stamina is concerned, Margot Did is from a staying family (the dam won over 10-12f) and is a half-sister to 1m7f winner Special Reggae, 2m winner Ja One and maiden hurdler Theglenbeighdancer, so on breeding you'd have to say that she should get a mile, no problem. But on style of racing she looks to take after her sire and doesn't give the impression that she will stay.
Personally, I don't think that Margot Did will ever beat Memory, provided the latter is on her game. I reckon that the Cheveley Park will be between Memory and Pontenuovo, unless Criquette Head-Maarek decides to run either Helleborine or Exemplify, in which case it will be a three-horse race. Margot Did is closely matched with the likes of Hooray, Soraaya, Brevity and Rimth, and that form doesn't look strong enough to win either the Cheveley Park or the Guineas. She's a very useful filly but I'll be surprised if she ever beats Memory, who will always beat her with that amazing turn of foot. I wouldn't be terribly surprised, either, if Maqaasid turns around the Lowther form with Hooray, Margot Did and Rimth: I'm convinced that she was below form at York and is capable of a lot better.

Margot Did will always suffer from lack of size and courage at that level. She seems to get pushed around easily and I don't think it is just the rider. If they ran in lanes I think she would have won all of her races.

I was at salisbury the other day and imo the only horse to take out of the race is Brevity. I was disappointed with Margot Did and Rimth as they are small sprinting two year old types where Brevity has much more scope to improve as a 3 year old. But that is just my opinion.
