They went very slow early on but she certainly quickened away nicely. I'd like to see a bit more before I consider her as a classic prospect though..

The word before the race was that Havant was OK but nothing particularly special. It looked a weak race and the winning time was very slow (even allowing for the soft ground). She's clearly a useful prospect but there is simply no way of knowing at this stage whether she will turn out to be any better than a useful handicapper. I noticed that one of the 'big three' firms introduced her at a derisory 20/1 for next year's Guineas, but she makes no appeal whatever.
