agree about this years 3yr olds, they look quite ordinary to me! although for me canford cliffs has turned his season round since his guineas run and he looks to be top class to me! i dont think anything has really challenged him since then and he has alot more to offer! RVW obviously wants more than a mile these days, possible a mile and half but i think CC beat him a little cosily in the end! maybe Makfi will turn out to be a superstar but i can just see CC tracking him through and showing him a clean pair of hoofs! i dont think there is an animal out there this season with the same turn of foot as CC! 2- 1 to canford for me, although i probably wont be backing him as the bookies will be offering silly odds about him

Is Makfi going to run at Ascot? Last I heard it was not certain and they might go for the Moulin instead.

Trainer said still 50/50 as to which race in an interview on atr couple of days ago |

Maybe Makfi prefers straight tracks (Newmarket, Deauville), which could have been a factor in his run in the St James Palace, he seemed to come quite wide. If Canford is on his game, i'd be reasonably confident Ascot form will be confirmed.

Makfi scoped bad. Nothing to do with the track.
Canford will b1tch slap him anyway. |

Seems that Makfi vs Canford is on. This would be race of the season for me.

Apparently Coolmore are in negotiations to buy Canford.

I see Goldikova and Paco Boy have been taken out - Rip Van Winkle still in though along with Makfi, Canford Cliffs and Dick Turpin.

Dick Turpin taken out. Makfi, Canford and RVW all still in. Hope Makfi beats Canford - the owners of Dick Turpin and Paco Boy have been shafted this season.

Cape Blanco still in as well. Bet he won't run though - just so as long as we all know that "this horse has so much speed"
