snow fairy - Yorkshire Oaks?

The filly race on arc trial day would be my choice

they should give her a break and then target the arc.

Proved herself the best 3 year old filly in Europe. Nothing to gain by going to York got to be the Arc now.

She is not in the Arc by the way.

She wasn't in both Oaks either [;)]

Sure lots of money to win if they keep racing her without a break but if they do she'll be burned out by October. Depends what they want to do with her.

I don't see her taking the yorkshire Oaks in as a bad plan.  The Arc is bound to me so much tougher and she has a lot to find to win the Arc. The ground today was against all the obvious rivals and she may not have done a much better form figure today than she did at Epsom. She just handled the ground when the others failed to do.

Sariska was similarly impressive, probably more so, but got beat (albeit by a very good older horse) at York.

Speaking after the race, winning trainer Ed Dunlop, said: "We came here very confident of a good run as she'd definitely improved since Epsom, but we then became very worried when the rain came. She won really well and is a filly with a huge heart.

"She might go to the Yorkshire Oaks. I was successful in persuading her owner to supplement her for this and the Epsom Oaks, so I might try again for the Breeders' Cup."

Ryan Moore added: "She didn't give me as good a feel for most of the race compared to Epsom. Although she won easily she didn't appear to like the ground very much."

sariska laugh at her. that was a dreadful race today and all she did was pick up the pieces. ide be shocked of she beat the great filly even recieving wieght

Agreed. Pish race and to be honest i've not been liking Irish races for a while now. Look at what came 2nd and 3rd.

No worse a performance than Sariska's win in the mud last year.

sariska beat midday a breeders cup winner and midday suposedly didnt handle the ground but then went onto win the nassau on similar conditions. if any horse in the irish oaks bar snow fairy ever wins a group 1 in britian ill be very suprised

yes and all the best fillies this year are diabolical by normal standards. imo of course

Dan,tbf, people were saying exactly the same about Sariska and Midday last season.

Im just pointing out the comparison between Sariska and Snow Fairy as both put in very impressive performances at the Curragh but it might not necessarily translate next time out.

And if Snow Fairy did not like the ground, then she would have had a harder race than it looked,imo.

Ground was heavy for the Irish Oaks last year - much better this year so SF's performance looks more definitive.

I didn't enjoy it. Too many of these Irish races draw out like a 3 mile chase. Miss Jean Brodie and Lady Lupus coming second in third doesn't lead me to believe that the other horses were 'major players'.

i agree irish racing flat anyway seems to be a joke lately

well akdarena is deserving of her mark of 114, based on her performances against older fillies and was trounced today. Meeznah must be at least a 116 performer and was beaten by 9l. Miss Jean brodie is unexposed, and if lady lupus was trained by someone else I might knock the form, but we have seen aidan get huge peak performances from his colts/fillies in the past (at first sight springs to mind). I'll give snow fairy a 122 for that, 2lbs more then sariska last year.

Akdarena might be best at 10f on faster ground vinnie.
Meeznah I'm not sure she ran to her oaks form and again maybe better on faster.
However I'm sure Lady Lupas did improve for the stamina test and the cut in the ground.
I'm finding very tricky to weigh up exactly what the form is worth. The time is also only fair.
I wouldn't be going as high as 122, at this stage around 115+ for me
