I dip into the flat but this year apart from newmarket, ascot and the upcoming goodwood i cant really get into it like before. I do enjoy the arc and the breeders cup but give me a friday at cheltenham in October or even a November sunday everytime.
I am not sure why i am missing the NH so much, maybe because i am getting so much older and i want to see my old friends again in October. Maybe it is that i think i can read NH form.
I have even been watching french jump racing in the uk closed season.
I was at a bbq last weekend and we were already planning our weekend in October at cheltenham.
That last hurdle race on the friday will still provide a decent novice imo.
Is it NH racing you miss or the top horses. There is jumping on nearly every day now but somehow it rarely grabs my attention before October. I love top class jumping but still get a buzz out of maiden races that might contain the next classic winner from now until October.

You are probably right. At this moment in time i think i missing a yeats or a persian punch. But thinking about it Goldikova makes me still interested in the flat season.
