"The urine taken from CHABAL (IRE) was found to contain ranitidine, which is a prohibited substance. The trainer exercised his right to have the ‘B’ sample analysed which confirmed the original finding. After considering the evidence, including statements from bin Suroor and Simon Crisford, racing manager for Godolphin, the Panel was satisfied that the source of the ranitidine was a 10-day course of 25 grams twice a day of a supplement containing ranitidine and manufactured by Za’abeel Feed Mill in Dubai, and given to the colt from 7 April to 17 April 2010 inclusive. A 5-day withdrawal period had been advised by the manufacturers. "
The Panel accepted an admission from bin Suroor that he was in breach of Rule (C)53 and, taking into account that this was bin Suroor’s third positive finding within 24 months, imposed a fine of £1,500 upon him. The Panel also ordered the trainer to pay £500 towards the cost of the analysis of the ‘B’ sample because it was satisfied that the result of the original sample should have been accepted having regard to the knowledge and information available to the trainer when he was interviewed. Under Rule (A)74 the Panel disqualified CHABAL (IRE) from the race placing AZMEEL first, SIMENON (IRE) second, BIKINI BABE (IRE) third, TAKE IT TO THE MAX fourth and WASEET fifth."
We also had Delegator last year. Do they not understand the rules?

not just horses...know plenty of athletes on the juice.
they do oil changes to hide it...replace the pee in the bladder with clean pee just before the tests. |

A 3rd offence should have meant a ban. I'm sure they were placed on notice that all the horses trained by Bin Suroor were going to be tested after Delegator for a certain time period.
In fairness it's not as though SBS horses are showing any signs of enhanced performance, is it?  |
