anyone hear anything bout ryan moore wanting to ride harbinger but being forced to ride workforce coz of stoutes soft spot for the horse?

Whoever told you Moore wants to get off a Derby winner to ride a group two performer is yanking your chain.
Stoute's been down the Harbinger path before (with Maraahel). It failed then and it will fail now. |

I've never had a problem identifying group 1 performers although describing them as "exposed" as such seems odd.
It was the 3 cliches (two of which are unsubstantiated) and a flippant dismissal of a genuine group 1 contender I thought worthy of comment. |

Likewise I fail to see how the still lightly raced improving 4yo Harbinger can be compared with Maraahel, who lined up for the KG as a 19 raced, relatively unfancied 5yo, already exposed as not quite up to the job in a half dozen group 1 attempts.

of course its unsubstantiated hes never ran in a group one the poster said he travels like a group 1 horse which imo he does.. and its proven he likes ascot as he p!ssed up there last month... the fact your comparing him to maraahel is hilarious

That's twice you've misinterpreted me. This time you've ignored the keyword "path".
Maraahel twice went the John Porter, Chester Gp3, Hardwicke Stakes, King George route and it didn't work. Harbinger's path is about to converge with genuine group 1 contenders following established group 1 patterns. The comparison is more to do with Stoute's campaigning rather than the relative merits of the horses but it suggests to me Harbinger is taking his chances more at the insistence of his owners than Stoute's planning. He may well win, although I doubt it. They've thrown him in at the deep end for his first group 1 race and imo he shouldn't be taking his chance in this race until next year. The Hamburg group 1 this weekend would have been a more sensible option. |

have to agree with the lst post godolphin have won a weak group 1 with what is essentially a group 3 horse, plenty of others missed a trick there.[;)]
