They both seem to ride a lot of horses in a similar way. Help up out the back and then thread their way through near the finish. But Hughes tends to find less interference, and if he does, he still manages to get them to win on the line.
Is it because of the quality of horses Hughes gets to ride or because he is a far better jockey than Spencer ?
Hughes is a better jockey. He doesn't panic when boxed in, Spencer seems to keep looking for gaps that are not there. I have serious reservations backing one he's on.
