What is shocking is that in previous years the thread for this race would be a few pages worth by now.
Only 3 comments to date, is this down to the taste for the new forum style?
Asset cracking each way value for me by the way.

lets try & spark some life...must be plum chargers still left on here
starting with last yrs race..captain b. could only not get past the legend that is plum pudding...clearly been readied for this..stable flying..top jock..likes the course..not many -ives i can see...12/1 looks an e/w steal given quite a few might not make the the cut.
2nd bet palace moon 9/1 ....would normally like a 7f winner for this...but his only run over 7 was a not to bad 4th to balthazars g. in a grp 2..half a lenght behind the aforementioned pulm pudding that was off levels and could well be up to this...unlucky @ sals behind sir gerry and then beaten by group winner to be laddies poker too.
9s & 12s e/w look good to me...+ this semi final is boring me

Palace drawn low with Advanced on the same side to ensure a fair pace.
Lets just hope that for once half of each field isn't out of it before the stalls open.

REBEL SOLDIER, ante-post favourite for Saturday's John Smith's Cup at York, will miss the race.
Connections of the three-year-old, successful by eight lengths last time out in the Daniel Prenn Royal Yorkshire Stakes on the Knavesmire, are instead contemplating a crack at a Group race, either in Britain or France.
Fiona Shaw, racing manager to owner Earle Mack, told the Racing Post: "It's been decided that Rebel Soldier will not run at York."
WD connections for highlighting his "doubtful" status so quickly. Too bad others cant be so forth-coming.

Dubai Dynamo interests me here e-w at at long price . Showed an excellent turn of foot to win 3 runs ago and was a very unlucky 5th in the Thirsk Cup . Last 2 runs not so good but i can forgive any horse a defeat at Ascot and last time out maybe a steadily run small field event wasn't his cup of tea . Bunbury Cup should be run at a good clip and providing the draw/pace works out ok and with luck in-running i hope to see him comin fast and late on the scene under Hayley . Good luck cc .

I think i'll have a bash at Freefortheday at 20/1. He's in at 8-12Ibs despite a good effort last time over 7f against the likes of Rainfall, which looks good form to me.

if you take freeforadays form literally on his last run he looks to have a good chance at the weights, but as you say some of his other runs have been a bit iffy. Maybe he needs 7f to show his best form and a strongly run race. heres hoping.....

It's the 32Red Bunbury Cup tomorrow and as always, I'm 'hopeful of a good run from my selection although I very much respect the claims of Palace Moon,Signor Peltro and Suruor. Generally available at 16/1 and more on here, Imperial Guest can run a big race and build on that excellent run at Ascot last month.
