Certainly hope so I think he has a great chance and a step up in trip will suit. Jockey's not bad either!

Looked at the stat for this race... think he has a good chance if you can catch him on a good day
- Trainer has a good record in this - tends to go to a 4/5 year old - he is 4 - Poor runs but was 4th to Goldikova ... so seems to show an improved run lto - Won a group 2, was second to Rip Van winkle in a group 1 race - prob 3rd best horse in the race behind Twice Over and Dar Re Mi, but * Twice over came 7th last year, and wont like fast ground (records for fav not that solid), main target is later in the year.. * Dar Re Mi, no female winner for 18 years, and 1m 2f may be too short - Main negative is stamina of Zacinto, but if it takes to it, will be hard to peg back Was 5's but 9/2 I think is a good price, gut feeling is they will take Twice over out because of the ground, so get on before decs Good luck |

Backed this morning at 5/1 - will relish the trip, at least I hope so
![]() Will go off 2/1 if Twice Over is a non runner. |

TFM,
I must say I cannot find anything in the pedigree to suggest the step up to 10f will bring about improvement, which logically it needs to. |

After Zacinto won a listed at Goodwood this is what Sir M Stoute had to say:
"We were a little scared about the ground but he handled it OK and he's got a bright future this fellow," said Stoute. "He has an entry in the QEII and will stick to a mile for the time being, but we have always thought he'd be better at a mile and a quarter." Zacinto also stayed on at the end of the Queen Anne IMO. |

Throwing your money away backing him even for this ordinary group1. Just hasnt the class
By:
At Newbury he was so wound up and coltish before the Lockinge that performance was pretty much what I expected. I think he wins the Eclipse.
By:
i wouldnt back him on the grounds of twice over not turning up.
all the will he wont he run is purely to make sure they put enough water on. which looks to be working interesting stat about the females not going too well in this race tho. 18 years is a long time dont suppose you know how many have tried it tho? |
By:
Regarding the numbers of mares, I can only go back 14 years (1996 onwards) 5 have tried from 117 in total.
Royal Alchemist, Islington, Ouija Board, Bosra Sham & Shiva. |

There had been no female winner of the Jersey for 20 years until Rainfall came along. Trip is the problem for Dar Ra Me.
Cant see past TO provided the ground is OK. |
By:
decs should be out any minute shouldnt they?
and yep 5 in the last 14 years isnt a lot. not enough to put me off dar re mi if if i fancied it which i dont. twice over has looked a different horse the last year bar the dubai run and will take plenty of beating. (if he runs) |
By:
Twice Over
Dar Re Mi Zacinto Mawatheeq Viscount Nelson Sri Putra Zacinto has only 5 to beat... |
By:
serious only 6 runners??
By:
surely a obrien pacemaker or two?
By:
as suprised myself... no pacmakers .. even Jukebox Jury with Fallon confirmed was withdrawn...
By:
cant see were the pace is going to come from? i would guess robinson might try and lead on sri putri.
cant see dar re mi being much of a danger without a solid pace to run at. Zacinto probably the biggest danger but twice over showed a nice turn of foot at ascot last time when nothing else came from off the pace and should have his measure. i hope |
By:
Zacinto still 9/2 - worth a top up?
![]() |
By:
Think it's a value price, yeah.
By:
Sadbrokes showing no fear about one of Sir M's!
By:
Surely no obrien pacemaker means they are going to send viscount nelson on to try & do what his sire did
By:
Don't really know why VN is in this race it surely has no chance
By:
Don't know why Zacinto is in this race unless he act as a pacemaker for Twice Over. Zacinto don't have gr. 1 class and he won't stay 10f.
By:
Thanks wondersobright - topped up at 9/2 and now back out to 5s this morning lol.
By:
Zacinto a place lay for me. Like Equinime I see noe reason for the horse to stay
By:
If a trainer like stoute says they always thought he would get 10f, i'm not going to disagree, let alone place lay.
By:
Didn't just fail to stay, completely dogged it the minute a question was asked of him, horse looks as soft as sh!t now.....
By:
Wouldnt stay in a horse box. Money banked.

Saw this one at ponty the other day for his "confidence booster", in the pre-parade he was getting pumped up, and high stepping. By the time he hit the parade ring every blood vessel was visible, sweating a little behind, snorting and at points high stepping. He didn't look a happy horse at all, and definitely appeared to "dog it" (as suggested above he did in the eclipse). He looks like one who has had enough to me.
