I like Rose Blossom also, form of joint fav is very good but this could be too sharp and play in strengths of RB.
On @ 11-4 |

R1 - Sonning Rose (11/1), King Torus R2 - Harbinger no bet but it should win R3 - Starspangledbanner (8), High Standing (12) R4 - Laddies Poker Two (backed AP at 12), Striking Spirit (18) though the race is a loser as I had a big AP bet on Enact R5 - Mystery Star (18), Dangerous Midge (16), Just Lille (22) R6 - Sentry Duty (5) Newmkt 2.10 Sailorman (battled to win maiden from mid 70s rated horses) (8), saver on Suited and Booted (8) 3.20 I'm A Dreamer (beat subsequent winners yet rated lower) (11/4) Hayd 9.15 Venutius (2nd to a fancied runner LTO) (9/4) It's the Newmarket and Haydock races which I have really bet on, Ascot small stakes, as there is nothing of major appeal. Unfortunately Enact has removed my main interest and wallet. Hope there's a few around today |

Haven't been able to post on these threads all week. Which probably isn't a bad thing after watching Berling's run the other day
![]() Nothing at Ascot for me today now that Shamali is a n/r but quite like the look of Cosmic Sun up at Ayr despite the drift .Entered for the Northumberland Plate next Saturday but looks unlikely to get in unless he picks up a penalty beforehand. Interestingly his two victories last year came after backing up 12 days and 6 days after a previous run so this tees him up nicely for that race if that is the target. gl all |

Well someone has to do it! I am laying HARBINGER win & place! Yes seven runs and four wins are impressive, yes improved but beating AOA over 12F and then AOA runs second in GC is like comparing apples and pears imo. Stands out that Harbingers one bad run last year was on GF and most of his wins have been on sharper left handed tracks. There are plenty of other improvers and 4 years old versus older generation are 50/50. I like Duncan, Crowded House and Wajir, with possibilities for Barshiba and Redwood. So by my reckoning 1.72 Win lay and 1.17 Place lay are a value play.

finally...havent been able to reply to any of the royal ascot day threads on here :o
goooo Harbinger. Fancy the foreigners in the Golden Jubilee. Happy Zero is a class act.....fine wins at 5 and 6 furlongs. Won a group1 recently over 7f and stayed on well behind Good Ba Ba over 1mile so a strongly run race over the stiff 6 here will be right up his street. Just got caught out by the soft ground and wide draw last time out in Singapore but that was a helluva run all the same. I'll go for him. I would like to see him track Kinsale King into the race...and then take him out in the last 100 yards. 1pt eachway 8/1. |

ATR verdict on the 2.30
Aidan O'Brien's Jackaroo, a beautifully-bred colt who cost connections 230,000 guineas, was a comprehensive winner of a 7f Gowran maiden last month and is the choice of stable jockey Johnny Murtagh. But it might pay to take a chance on stablemate ESKIMO, second at Gowran and who has the not-inconsiderable assistance of Ryan Moore here. He scored with ease next time at Tipperary and his greater experience might give him the edge today. Pontefract winner Sonning Rose and Leicester scorer King Torus look the pick of the UK-trained runners. Top Tip: ESKIMO Watch out for: JACKAROO Soldieroffortune works for ATR ![]() |
