After taking all the formlines into consideration, I am thinking of having my biggest bet of the year on this horse in the Coventry. Would like to hear the views of others, and if they are in disagreement then why.
My line on it is that he won't go on dramatically from debut, that may still be good enough but I don't think Royal Ascot two year old races are the sort to pile in on as there are too many unknowns but good luck.

If you are going to have a very big bet, best to wait til near the off, make sure the vibes are good etc. Last thing you want is for him to boil over in the parade ring or something similar.

what actually constitutes your biggest bet of the year? R we talking a 2 quid job? if it is a large amount having it in a race like the coventry with so many imponderables seems suspect[:(]

Thank you all for your helpful comments. Downallstar...thank you, I shall be backing it late. Mythical prince... not a 2 quid job. I also do not think it is a suspect bet as all the positives I look for in a race point to this horse winning and winning well.

Go for it, Chool. The time of his Newbury win was outstanding and the form of that race has been franked time and again. And the jockey sounds pretty confident, quoted in today's Guardian: "I'm riding some great horses during the week but if you took them all away and said I could have only one back, it would be Strong Suit. He is our best two-year-old by a long way...I think I'm on the best horse...in Strong Suit I think we might have the best two-year-old of all."

If you feel confident just go for it - haven't seen any of the leading runners races so can't really give a personal asssessment.
The Coventry is as good a race as most for backing a hotpot (Dilum, Stonehatch, Canford etc) - the market is probably more reliable than usual due to the lack of racecourse evidence.

Thank you all for your messages. I think I gave the old lady next to me a heart attack screaming it home, and I don't think she will be back to Ascot in a hurry! Mind you, I wasn't far off one myself. Good luck all for the rest of the week.
